THE SUPERVISORS

Chris’ Supervision Style

Chris utilizes an eclectic style within the therapeutic setting which carries over into their supervision style as well. Centering Black Liberation, Indigenization, and healing justice, they work to educate supervisees about social work history and ways to divest from white supremacy within the field of social work while also merging trauma-informed practices. Incorporating these frameworks will be uncomfortable but necessary for the field of social work to shift into a more anti-racist and anti-oppressive profession. Part of the supervision process will include compassionate reflective practices in order to evolve our own understandings and internal biases while developing an ability to approach clinical work from a critical lens.
